I always associate winter with Keats’ poetry. It’s a beautiful season and time of the year, complete with its colors, music, aroma and beautiful warm sunshine. The weather is great and everything just seems lively and romantic! I love to indulge in all those lip smacking foods and festivities. And how can I dismiss the prolonged and undisturbed sleep under warm and fluffy blankets? That’s simply incomparable!
There’s Christmas, New Year’s Eve, New Year and a whole lot of ongoing winter celebrations. Winter is warm, sensuous and redolent with the sweet smell of flowers and all other good things that this season has to offer. Winter always brings back happy memories from childhood…the way we used to yearn for cakes, pastries and wait eagerly for school Yuletide parties and celebrations. That was awesome! As a child, the aroma of freshly baked cakes was irresistible! It still is I still love to explore all the cake and pastry shops in town in search of that gorgeous piece of cake. I try to prepare cakes in my own special way. So winter for me is indeed special! Hence I welcome the “Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness” with all enthusiasm and wish that it stays for quite some time!
